Meet The Key Place Staff 1st Aug 2015

Helene Wilkinson is the Manager of our busy Penicuik office, which she runs with great enthusiasm. Helene has worked with The Key Place for 3 years. She started as a Letting Agent in our Bo’ness office, before taking over the helm in Penicuik. Previously Helene worked for land securities and dealt with commercial properties, however was keen to move into private lettings. Helene’s favourite part of the job is meeting people and problem solving. She is less keen on doing the filing! Helene is a proud mum to Nadia who is 19 years old and going to university in September to study Sociology. Helene is a belly dancer and she participated in live shows and gala day events for 4 years! Helene’s favourite quote is ‘you’ve gotta dance like there's nobody watching`!

Fiona McBeth is our longest serving member of staff, having been a Letting Agent with The Key Place (formerly Graham Young Estates) for nearly 13 years. Fiona really enjoys her job, and particularly appreciates the landlords who understand their responsibilities and look after their tenants. She says that tenants can be demanding but sometimes those ones tend to be the ones that look after the properties the best. Fiona has been married to David for 25 years (he collects his medal at the end of this month)! She has 2 children - Laura who is 22 and Daniel who is 21 - both have moved out recently and she misses them loads. In her spare time Fiona enjoys swimming and walking and a good night in or out with family & friends.

Dean Montgomery is our Property Manager and has worked at The Key Place for just over 2 years. Previously Dean worked for Menzies Distribution dealing with new accounts and suppliers. He was looking for a new challenge and a career that had the possibility of progression. He enjoys his job, especially getting out of the office and meeting people, and visiting various properties. He says that the people he works with in Penicuik make his job easier and more enjoyable as they are very friendly and helpful. Dean is passionate about football and is a youth football coach, currently coaching Tynecastle 16s and 12s - he won SFA Bank of Scotland coach of the year in 2010. Dean’s favourite quote is ‘Carpe Diem`.
